Women and Girls in Football

Hurunui Rangers FC are proud to provide opportunities for Women and Girls in Football. We actively work with Mainland Football and NZ Football to provide opportunities for women to play 11-a-side winter football, futsal, or summer 5-a-side football so you can be playing the right game at the right level for your development.

Whether they are playing senior women's football, refereeing, coaching, managing, or playing mixed junior football, women and girls are a massive part of Hurunui Rangers FC. Making up around one third of our playing numbers and about one half of our coach/management team, the boys wouldn't have a club to play for without the girls leading the way.

Big or small, Hurunui girls are fiercely competitive

Girls and Boys play in the same teams for as long as possible

At Hurunui Rangers FC we strive to let the women and girls of our club become the best they can be, while still enjoying the warmth and friendship of a small country club. Players who started their football at the Amberley Domain have gone on to make North Canterbury, Canterbury, and New Zealand training squads by building on the skills and enjoyment they learnt at our club.
